The Opportunity

As Facilities Manager, you’ll oversee the maintenance and care of our production facility in Fredericton, NB. Reporting directly to the CEO, this role requires technical know-how, leadership skills, and a proactive mindset. You’ll manage internal teams and external contractors to ensure all systems—mechanical, electrical, HVAC, and grounds—are safe, functional, and compliant.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise all aspects of facility maintenance, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical systems, and general infrastructure.
• Troubleshoot, perform, or coordinate emergency repairs as needed.
• Oversee technicians and provide hands-on leadership during complex repairs or installs.
• Manage service contracts and coordinate external contractors for repairs, inspections, or equipment installations.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of all maintenance activities, including emergency and scheduled service logs.
• Ensure strict compliance with Worksafe NB standards, as well as health, safety, and environmental regulations.
• Contribute to the long-term planning of facility upgrades and preventative maintenance programs.
• Respond promptly to urgent infrastructure issues, minimizing production downtime.
• Collaborate closely with operations, cultivation, and quality assurance teams to support facility readiness.

What You Bring

• 5+ years of industrial or commercial maintenance experience
• 5+ years of experience managing or supervising technical teams
• HVAC systems experience is required
• Red Seal Electrician certification is an asset
• 4th Class Power Engineer designation is a strong asset
• Experience in cannabis or manufacturing facilities is a plus
• Proven ability to diagnose issues and solve problems efficiently
• Strong organizational and documentation skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, evolving environment with shifting priorities

Role Details

• Position: Full-time, on-site
• Location: Fredericton, NB (40 Blizzard Street, E3B 8K1)
• Schedule: Day shift with availability for after-hours emergencies; overtime may be required during peak periods
