The Role

We’re looking for a Cultivation Manager to lead operations at our Fredericton, NB facility located at 40 Blizzard Street, E3B 8K1. You’ll oversee all aspects of the cultivation department, ensuring our products meet the highest standards in craft cannabis production. This role is a unique opportunity to manage a skilled team, drive operational excellence, and help shape a standout grow in a regulated industry.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the cultivation team at our Fredericton facility, managing day-to-day grow operations.
  • Collaborate with the CEO, Cultivation Director, Operations Manager, and IPM/Fertigation Specialists to execute crop schedules and feed programs.
  • Oversee hiring, training, coaching, performance reviews, and HR-related functions within the cultivation team.
  • Ensure compliance with Health Canada regulations and internal SOPs, in collaboration with the Quality Assurance team.
  • Monitor plant health, environmental conditions, and cultivation data to ensure optimal performance.
  • Coordinate integrated pest management (IPM) and fertigation schedules.
  • Maintain inventory levels of cultivation supplies and liaise with vendors to ensure timely procurement.
  • Align with Post-Production and Packaging Managers to ensure smooth hand-off and drying schedules.
  • Participate in achieving and maintaining EU-GMP certification standards.
  • Contribute to staff education and internal knowledge-sharing initiatives.
  • Occasionally travel to Ottawa and Johnstown sites to support company-wide consistency and alignment.
  • Other duties as assigned.
What We’re Looking For
  • Prior experience in commercial cannabis cultivation is highly preferred.
  • Strong leadership skills with experience managing high-performance teams.
  • Excellent knowledge of cultivation equipment, grow methodologies, and OH&S regulations.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, physically demanding, and highly regulated environment.
  • Tech-savvy, with high computer literacy and comfort using compliance tracking software.
  • Detail-oriented, reliable, and a strong communicator.
  • Able to stand for extended periods, lift items, and work in variable climate conditions (heat, humidity, strong odors, etc.).
  • Comfortable working with or around PPE, allergens, and industry-standard agricultural chemicals.
  • Ability to obtain a Health Canada security clearance is an asset.
