We are looking for a Propagation Lead. The Propagation Lead will be responsible for conducting daily activities in the mother, clone and vegetative rooms as directed by the Cultivation Manager. Key success factors for this position will include the ability to follow SOPs and complete documentation, monitor plant health closely, operations mindset, and relay observations to the team lead.
Responsibilities would include:
• Monitoring plant performance and overall health; reporting observations and/or concerns to the Cultivation Manager.
• Responsible for batch creation in compliance software
• Responsible for forecasting of mother stock requirements
• Watering, transplanting, defoliation, pruning and other maintenance procedures of mother plants.
• Execute all cloning and propagation activities, including general clone maintenance (i.e., dome maintenance and watering).
• Watering, transplanting, defoliation, pruning and other maintenance procedures of vegetative plants.
• Support the cultivation team in daily flower room activities including pruning, defoliation, transplant and other, as directed.
• Scheduling of incoming/outgoing clones with Ontario facility.
• Sanitize and maintain all tools and technical equipment used in propagation activities.
• Maintain a high level of cleanliness and organization in the work area.
• Proper execution of all SOPs and completion of department documentation to maintain compliance.
• Other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
Requirements:
• Experience with Cannabis Compliance Software, such as elevated signals, is a strong asset.
• Ability to forecast, experience with production planning a strong asset.
• Ability to work independently in a busy environment.

Qualifications:
• Experience in a production environment (preferably GMP or food manufacturing facility); experience working with cannabis an asset.
• Minimum 1 year experience in greenhouse or propagation workspace.
• Familiarity with batch records and inventory tracking.
• Comfortable working in room conditions that support plant health (warm temperatures, high humidity and under grow lights).
• Meticulous attention to details.
• Positive attitude, good work ethics.
• Accountable for safe and clean work environment.
• Desire and ability to learn, collaborate and succeed with others.
• Ability to work flexible hours including weekend or holiday if necessary.
Work Conditions:
• Light physical demands; 5-10 kg (11-22 lbs)
• Other body positioning (e.g. squatting, bending) in addition to prolonged standing and/or walking
• On the job training provided
• Use of Personal Protective Equipment
• Hazards associated with the trade (e.g. tools, equipment)
• Overtime/shift work may be required.
Position:
• Full-time
• Salary range: $40,000 - $45,000 dependent on experience/education
• Overtime is required during peak times and to meet deadlines.
